After years of riding a bike I finally got my ass on real racing circuit and I have to admit: it was brilliant. At first I felt little bit nervous and did not feel comfortable as other bikers were passing me in high speed. It took me good deal of time to figure out optimal speed and track when entering a curve and to find out a right posture on my bike. But eventually I managed to overcome fear and doubts and I flew through my first curve in my life fast and low with my knee slider brushing upon the surface of the circuit. I can tell ‘ya that was one of the best time in my life. Once you figure it out it is not so difficult anymore and you are wondering why on earth didn’t you make it work earlier? I recon that you must be comfortable with it and really feel it, for me worked the circuit where I didn’t have to worry about cars in opposite direction or holes in a road or anything like that.

So from my personal experience the key is the speed and shifted gear. If you ride on too high gear shifted your bike going to be too lazy and in the curve exit you will have a feeling you are about to fall plus you will be too slow so you might feel that this is not going to work for you. Too low gear, the bike going to literally kick you in the nuts. It will start to fight with you and it is nearly impossible to control the bike, you are definitely about to fall. For my bike (Honda CBR 600 F) worked to keep RPMs above 3500 and definitely under 6000 if I go over higher limit of the RPMs the bike has tendencies to make a wheelie and it feels unstable on the track. Concerning the right track try to stay more outside the curve and aim to its middle. Start to accelerate when you pass the apex of the curve and try to put the bike to upright position as soon as possible. Keep your toes back on your footrests to avoid brushing it sooner than your knee sliders. You can also adjust your bikes chassis but it needs technical experiences and knowledge so no help from me

Do nedávna jsem měl za to, že řešení technických problémů je zajímavá a zábavná práce ale co je moc to je moc. Během dvou týdnů jsem se musel prokousat přez sběr dat po sériové lince přez SQL po hardware v PC. Měl jsem dávat ve škole víc pozor, ach jo….

Until few weeks ago I lived in a dream that technical problem solving is interesting and fun but what is too much is just too much. During past two weeks I had to handle data logging, SQL and PC hardware. I so should have payed attention at school…..

I really love traveling. One of my favorite places I’ve been to is Valencia. A beautiful city on shore of Spain. Perhaps the best time when you should definitely go there is in March when Las Fallas celebrations take place. I missed this celebration to my great disappointment. To my pleasant surprise there were other celebration thou. Fiesta del Cristo del Grau is the name of this one and I must say it was wonderful. Streets in the city center were filled with music and local girls dressed in colorful dresses were dancing all around. I was lucky to be there with a friend of mine who were there for exchange program what gave me the opportunity to get know the country without being limited by a travel agency.

For my personal opinion is that you get know a country the best with locals and the friend of mine introduced me to many of Spaniards. Next to music, beaches and dancing girls I enjoyed taverns a lot especially local offer “Tapas” the deal is that to each drink you get some yummy ham “chamon” meet balls, fish or chicken and of course delicious olives. What we were having was beer and Chamon with baked baguette only for 1,2 euro. One of happiest times of my life

If you really want to experience something out of ordinary make România your pick for your trip!!! Covasna town in Covasna county might be your best choice for its marvelous surroundings, mineral water springs or cute little spas but most importantly it is a strategic location for it is in the middle of all worth to see. For your accommodation let me recommend you excellent pension Casa din Parc. Great services better praises and the best cooking.

Highway to…. România

Romania, for most people land of witches, vampires, pyedogs and mysterious mountains. But if you are a biker…. Winter is beginning to be a little bit long and way to calm. My bloodstream craves for adrenalin That reminded me a trip I took this summer with one friend of mine so far my ultimate adventure. 1200 km of riding (Honda CBR 600 F) top speed over 200km/h and 19 hours of extraordinary experiences in one of two tracks. Our journey led from Chotěboř (Czech Republick) trough Bratislava (Slovakia), Gyor; Budapest; Seged (Hungaria) and Arad; Sibiu; Braşov (România) to Covasna (România) and back again. Quite like The Hobbit’s tale isn’t it thou this time would be more suitable The Biker’s tale. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I must admit that this was my first “long-shot” and I was quite nervous. You have to be prepared for almost everything for in foreign country you don’t have much options when you get yourself in to trouble unless you have a pile of cash and even then I am not sure if it can do any good to you after-all. Virtue of all is thorough check of technical condition of your bike such as chain set, brakes, tires, oil level in reservoir, fuses and light bulbs etc. After that you are good to go. We left home in Friday afternoon eager to ride. First lap was fairly good but then in Saturday we entered gates of Romania. Eight hundreds of fine surface twisty roads and quick turns through the mass of Carpathian mountains. Nearly orgasmic we flew low and fast fearless of other drivers for unlike CZ people don’t consider bikers as public enemies on the contrary. People are very friendly towards bikers they show you whether you can overtake them and they move out of your way or if you should slowdown. The track offered marvelous view on each stop we made. We also got a chance to compare our skills wilt local bikers and in spite of load we carried on our iron horses we proved ourselves, in a battle which took place in fast turns near Sibiu, to be a honorable rivals. Remarkable ride in deed. Although the true achievement waited for us on the way back. But with relieving of that I shall wait until next time.

V pondělí jsem nastoupil do nového zaměstnání pln nadějí a očekávání. Hned druhý den jsem jel 300 kilásků k zákazníkovi na”drobný” servis. No, 12ti hodinovka, v útulném a čistém prostřetí průmyslové kovárny:D, byla, oproti 12ti hodinovým “šichtám” strávených po elektrárnách, výtanou změnou. Ale co naplat, nájem se platit musí;)

I started a new job in Monday with hopes and expectations. I was sent the very next day 300 km on service mission at one customer of our company. Well, 12 hours in marvelous environment of industrial forge were a lovely change compare to 12 hours “shifts” which I use to spend in power plants What can one do I must pay the rent after all.
